About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: GI Lab Duration: 12 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 Hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years of GI RN hospital experience License: Registered Nurse License Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: - Minimum of 2 years GI RN hospital experience - Ability to recover/PACU - Call requirement for at least 2 days on weekdays and 2-3 days on weekends - Response time of 30 minutes for call coverage Description: This position requires a registered nurse specializing in the GI Lab. The nurse will work day shifts consisting of five 8-hour shifts. Candidates must have a minimum of two years of hospital experience in GI nursing. Experience in recovery and post-anesthesia care is essential. Call coverage is required, including weekday and weekend shifts. The unit performs various procedures, including EGD, EUS, colonoscopy, and ERCP. Familiarity with the Epic charting system is required. In this role, the nurse will provide care to adult and geriatric patients. The daily patient census is between 2 to 5 patients. The nurse will collaborate with interdisciplinary support services. Skills in administering conscious sedation and airway management are necessary. Candidates should be proficient in starting and maintaining IVs. Individuals who can manage and interpret dysrhythmias will be given preference. Travel experience is required for this position.
