World Honey Market is seeking a Staff Accountant to join our growing team in Lakeland, Florida! World Honey Market, LLC seeks a Staff Accountant to handle day-to-day accounting for our growing agricultural enterprise. The Opportunity Hands-on ownership : Manage the General Ledger and Accounts Payable for a multi-entity agricultural operation Modern systems : Work daily in QuickBooks, Ramp, ADP, and Homebase Real growth path : Learn agricultural and manufacturing accounting with direct mentorship from leadership Stable, expanding company : Support a 25,000+ colony honey operation with products in major retailers About World Honey Market We control the entire honey supply chain from hive to shelf. Our operations span multiple states, with processing facilities in Sanderson, Florida, agriculture operations in Lakeland, Florida and products on the shelves of major retailers and thriving private label business. We're growing through acquisitions and need dependable accounting support to keep the books clean as we scale. What You'll Do General Ledger (50%) Record daily transactions and journal entries in QuickBooks Perform bank and credit card reconciliations Reconcile balance sheet accounts monthly Support month-end close activities Maintain accurate chart of accounts entries across multiple locations Assist with inventory and COGS entries for honey production Accounts Payable (35%) Process vendor invoices and payments through Ramp Manage expense report review and credit card reconciliation Onboard new vendors and maintain vendor records (W-9s, payment terms) Match invoices to purchase orders and receipts Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve billing discrepancies Prepare weekly AP aging reports Supporting Duties (15%) Assist with weekly payroll processing (transferring hours from Homebase to ADP) Support financial reporting and documentation Assist with annual 1099 preparation and tax documentation Help maintain organized financial records and filing What We're Looking For Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or Associate's degree with equivalent experience) 1–5 years of accounting experience — OR — recent graduates with relevant internship or coursework experience are encouraged to apply QuickBooks experience (Online or Desktop) — at minimum, basic working knowledge Working knowledge of debits/credits and the general ledger Proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUP and pivot tables a plus) Strong attention to detail and accuracy Reliable, organized, and able to meet weekly deadlines Preferred: Exposure to AP automation tools (Ramp, Bill.com, or similar) Payroll processing exposure (ADP or similar) Agricultural, food production, or manufacturing accounting exposure What Makes Someone Successful Here: Dependability : Weekly payroll and AP cycles run on schedule, every week Curiosity : Willingness to learn agricultural accounting and new systems Accuracy : Clean, well-documented work Communication : Comfortable asking questions and flagging issues early Professional development : Training on QuickBooks, Ramp, and ADP provided; support for continuing education and CPA-track coursework Mentorship : Direct access to experienced leadership — learn the full picture of a real business, not just one slice Location : Lakeland, Florida – Hybrid Home office.MUST be located in Lakeland, Florida and be available for weekly in-person meetings Schedule : Monday–Friday, standard business hours Environment : Small team where your work is visible and valued World Honey Market is an equal opportunity employer committed to workplace diversity and supporting American agriculture.
