EMC Design Engineer

Provide inputs regarding value selection, orientation of components, board layout guidelines and grounding strategies for EMI Filters.Perform in-depth Circuit and FEM Simulations for Emissions, Susceptibility, ESD and lightning strikes. Provide detailed EMC recommendations to Electrical, Power Electronics and Mechanical Engineers for PCB board layout/Cable shielding strategies, enclosure designs, grounding etc.Work closely with EMC Test Engineers to design/test/certify various Archer Products for DO-160G/MIL 461G.Work with EMC test labs for Aircraft level and DO-160/MIL 461G pre-compliance/compliance for Archer Products.RequirementsStrong background in EMI Analysis/Simulation of Power Electronics/Electric Circuits. Solid knowledge and usage of Circuit Simulation tools (MATLAB, PLECS, PSIM etc.) and Ansys EM tools (Q3D, SIWave, HFSS and Maxwell)Detailed Understanding of various EMC Equipment such as LISNs, Antennas, BCI Probes, EMI test receivers, Spectrum Analyzers, Oscilloscopes, Vector Network Analyzer, Impedance Analyzer etc.Familiarity with various standards such as DO-160, MIL-461, CISPR 12/16/25/32, UN ECE Regulation 10, FCC Part 15/18 etc.Bonus Qualifications Prior EMC Per-Compliance and Certification experience in Aerospace (DO 160 or MIL 461) /Automotive Industry (FCC or UN ECE Reg 10).Detailed Understanding about SI/PI – Design/Simulation and Measurement.Experience with analysis/design/test with Active EMI filters.At Archer we aim to attract, retain, and motivate talent that possess the skills and leadership necessary to grow our business. We drive a pay-for-performance culture and reward performance that supports the Company’s business strategy. For this position we are targeting a base pay between $144,000 - $198,000 USD.
