Imaging Manager, FT, Days (Pearland Outpatient Imaging Centers)

Job Summary Will travel to other Southeast locations (OPID Bayshore and League City) Position is responsible for supervising and managing daily operations, as well as hiring and training new personnel, scheduling work flow, and ensuring that all policies and procedures are properly applied and followed. Minimum Qualifications Education: Graduate of an accredited school of Nuclear Medicine, Ultrasound, Radiologic Technology, and/or Radiation Therapy. Licenses/Certification: Certified in Basic or Advanced Life Support, required. Radiology Technologist: Licensed by the Texas Medical Board (MRT), required. Registered Radiology Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-R), required. Computed Tomography (CT): Licensed by the Texas Medical Board (MRT), required. Registered CT Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-CT), required. Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI): Registered MRI Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-MR), required; or Registered MRI Technologist by the American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist, required (ARMRIT). Nuclear Medicine: Licensed by the Texas Medical Board (MRT), required. One (1) of the following required: Registered Nuclear Medicine Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-N); or Certified by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB). Mammography: Licensed by the Texas Medical Board (MRT), required. Registered Radiology Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-R), required. Registered Mammography Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-M), required. Ultrasound: One (1) of the following required: Registered Vascular Sonographer by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-VS); or Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonographers; or Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS) by Cardiovascular Credentialing International; or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) by the Cardiovascular Credentialing International; or Registered Congenital Cardiac Sonographer (RCCS) by Cardiovascular Credentialing International; or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS). Experience / Knowledge / Skills: Two (2) years of experience in an acute hospital setting. Principal Accountabilities Supervises, manages and schedules daily activities. Performs quality control procedures, gathers data for QA program, and implements changes as necessary. Assists with policy development; recommends changes in departmental methods and procedures. Ensures that JCAHO and other regulatory requirements are being met. Provides input into departmental planning processes, including operating and capital equipment budget. Trains and evaluates staff on equipment and procedures. Ensures safe care to patients, staff and visitors; adheres to all Memorial Hermann policies, procedures, and standards within budgetary specifications including time management, supply management, productivity and quality of service. Promotes individual professional growth and development by meeting requirements for mandatory/continuing education, skills competency, supports department-based goals which contribute to the success of the organization; serves as preceptor, mentor, and resource to less experienced staff.
