Billing Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Billing Specialist to support our accounting and customer operations teams. This role is responsible for managing invoices, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting collections efforts to ensure timely and accurate revenue processing.The ideal candidate will have a strong accounting background, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate across teams to resolve customer billing issues and improve processes.The CompanyOpenTech Alliance, Inc. was founded in 2003 and is a leading technology provider to the self storage industry. The company delivers software-enabled solutions including online auctions, access control systems, full-service kiosks, and call center services to self storage operators across North America, with a growing international presence.Headquartered in Phoenix, AZ, OpenTech supports many of the largest self storage operators in the U.S. and continues to scale its core products while strengthening internal operations to support growth.Key ResponsibilitiesCreate and issue accurate customer invoices in a timely mannerMaintain and update customer records across NetSuite, VersaPay, and CRM systemsPerform account reconciliations and resolve discrepanciesApply payments, issue credits, refunds, and necessary billing adjustmentsSupport billing accuracy during customer changes such as terminations or ownership updatesAssist with collections efforts and customer account follow-upsResponding to customer inquiries and providing excellent serviceAnalyze accounts receivable aging and identify overdue balancesCollaborate with accounting and customer success teams to resolve issuesEnsure high standards of data accuracy and compliance with financial processesSome college coursework or bachelor’s degree in accounting preferred3–5 years of relevant accounting or billing experienceExperience with NetSuite, VersaPay, or similar systems preferredStrong understanding of bookkeeping and financial record-keeping principlesExcellent attention to detail and analytical skillsStrong communication and interpersonal abilitiesProficiency in Microsoft Office, especially ExcelWhy Join OpenTech?At OpenTech Alliance, you’ll be part of a collaborative and fast-paced environment where your work directly supports financial accuracy and customer success.
