Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for a home health role serving the Southern Black Hills area, requiring SD licensure and at least 1 year of experience.

Details

• Home health setting within a Home Care Services department
• Serves the Southern Black Hills region including Hot Springs, Custer, Edgemont, Hill City, Hermosa and surrounding areas
• Patient population includes medically compromised individuals (CHF, COPD, DM, cardiac) as well as ortho, neuro, dementia, and general weakness cases
• Patients range in age from early adulthood to geriatric
• Uses EPIC for charting
• Schedule is Monday through Friday with no weekend rotation and no call requirements
• Mileage reimbursed at the current IRS standard rate for travel between patient locations

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of physical therapy experience required
• SD license required if applicable
• BLS certification required
• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy required
• Strong skills in evaluation, medical assessment, intervention planning, and care plan development required

Additional Information

• Works alongside a multidisciplinary home health team including RNs, LPNs, OT, PTA, SLP, aides, MSWs, and case managers
• Orientation takes approximately 1 week and includes EPIC training, shadowing, and documentation process review
• Office closed for 6 major holidays with no holiday coverage required
• Time off requires manager approval
• Scrub attire of any color or business casual accepted; denim and sweats not permitted
• Free parking available
• Open to first-time travelers
• Facility does not accept local candidates and requires candidates to live outside a 100-mile radius
• Facility is known for renewing traveler contracts
