Endoscopy Tech

Piedmont Healthcare is seeking an Endoscopy Tech to support day shift procedures in our collaborative, patient-centered environment. The Endoscopy Tech prepares procedure rooms and equipment, assists physicians and nurses during diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures, and ensures proper cleaning, disinfection, and storage of scopes and instruments. Responsibilities include monitoring and positioning patients, maintaining accurate documentation, managing supplies, and adhering to infection control and safety standards. Prepare endoscopy rooms, equipment, and supplies for procedures Assist physicians and nurses during endoscopic procedures Position and monitor patients, ensuring comfort and safety Clean, disinfect, and maintain endoscopes and related instruments Follow strict infection prevention and control protocols Maintain accurate procedure and equipment documentation Manage inventory of endoscopy supplies and report shortages Operate and troubleshoot basic endoscopy equipment Collaborate with clinical staff to support patient-centered care Comply with all safety, regulatory, and quality standards Endoscopy equipment operation Scope reprocessing and high-level disinfection Infection prevention and control Patient positioning and transport Vital signs monitoring basics Medical terminology (GI/endoscopy) Sterile and aseptic technique Electronic health record documentation Inventory and supply management Basic Life Support (BLS) Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Certified Endoscopy Technician (CET) preferred Basic Life Support (BLS) required or obtained within hire period Experience in GI/endoscopy or procedural care preferred Knowledge of infection prevention and scope reprocessing standards #J-18808-Ljbffr
