Clean Room Associate - Surgical Instrument Refurbishment Join a leading medical device company where you'll play an important role in supporting healthcare professionals and patients. As a Clean Room Associate, you will help refurbish surgical instruments through a structured cleaning, sorting, and labeling process in a modern, air-conditioned facility. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for candidates looking to start a career in manufacturing, medical devices, or quality-focused production environments. No previous industry experience is required. Paid training is provided. Key Responsibilities Clean, sort, inspect, and label surgical instruments according to established quality standards. Process surgical instruments ranging from approximately 10 to 30 inches in length. Move instrument cases through metal detection equipment before cleaning. Operate dishwasher-style cleaning units and other processing equipment. Perform manual cleaning, power washing, and chemical cleaning procedures. Handle and process post-surgery instruments while following all safety and hygiene protocols. Maintain accurate sorting and labeling procedures after cleaning. Work in a controlled clean room environment while following contamination-control procedures. Keep workstations clean and organized through routine housekeeping duties. Participate in cross-training opportunities across multiple operational areas. Support production goals while maintaining a strong commitment to quality and safety. What We're Looking For Successful candidates are: Comfortable standing for an entire shift. Able to work in a clean room environment while wearing required PPE. Detail-oriented with a strong quality mindset. Reliable with excellent attendance and punctuality. Willing to learn multiple job functions through cross-training. Comfortable following detailed processes and procedures. Team-oriented and able to work in a fast-paced production environment. Able to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds. Important Job Considerations Candidates must be comfortable: Working with post-surgical instruments that may contain biological material. Wearing full clean room attire, including: Smock Booties Gloves Hair net Beard net (if applicable) Face shield/visor Safety glasses Following strict cleanliness and dress code requirements. Working scheduled overtime, including approximately one Saturday per month. Maintaining perfect attendance during the first 30 days of employment. Preferred Backgrounds No prior experience is required. Shift Options 1st Shift Monday - Friday 5:00 AM - 1:30 PM 2nd Shift Monday - Friday 1:00 PM - 9:30 PM Additional Expectations Overtime available and occasionally required. One Saturday per month may be scheduled. Closed-toe athletic shoes required. Work pants or jeans and a plain shirt required. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chandler, AZ. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $17.50 - $18.50/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
