About the Position

Job Title: Respiratory Therapist Profession: RRT Specialty: Respiratory Therapy Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 19:00-07:00 Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum 2 years of current acute care hospital experience License: RRT Certifications: BLS, NRP, PALS Must-Have: Candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role: - BLS - NRP - PALS - 2 years of current acute care hospital RRT experience Description: NICU experience required. Respiratory Therapists provide treatment, care, and evaluation for patients with respiratory diseases utilizing advanced technologies and medication delivery. Unit specific staffing includes a Director, Manager, 1 Supervisor/charge therapist per shift, and regular staff. Type of equipment includes high flow devices, Neonatal ventilators, continuous nebulizers, Nitric Oxide, and Heliox. The documentation system is Meditech. Floating policy may provide coverage for regular adult floors for nebulizer therapy, BIPAP, CPT, etc. Candidates with previous Meditech experience will be preferred. Best personality fit includes being a team player, critical thinker, and adaptable to change. A multidisciplinary approach to patient care is essential. Uniform is light gray.
