APEX Placement and Consulting has partnered with a company in Livonia, MI looking to add a skilled CNC Lathe and Mill Machinists to set up, operate, and maintain CNC equipment. This role involves reading and interpreting blueprints, planning machining steps, performing accurate setups, and producing high-quality parts while following safety and quality standards. Key Responsibilities:

• Review work orders, blueprints, and engineering drawings to determine machining processes, materials, dimensions, and tolerances (including GD&T).
• Set up CNC lathes and mills by installing and adjusting chucks, tools, collets, attachments, bushings, gears, stops, and stock pushers; includes tramming mill heads as needed.
• Load raw material into the machine by positioning stock in feed mechanisms.
• Verify machine settings by measuring and inspecting first-run parts and sample pieces to ensure accuracy and compliance with standards.
• Work with dual spindles, multi-tasking machines, turn/mill equipment, spindle transfers, and/or 3-, 4-, or 5-axis machining (experience with any of these is a plus).
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment.
• Perform routine and preventive maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and follow manufacturer guidelines to keep machines running properly.
• Complete production and quality documentation accurately and on time.

What we are looking for:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1-3 years solid experience, 5+ years preferred 
• Aerospace experience a HUGE PLUS
• Attention to detail
