An independent, community-focused hospital in southeastern North Carolina is seeking an experienced BC/BE Family Medicine physician (MD or DO) to join its Family Medicine Residency Program as Associate Program Director. This leadership opportunity blends academic medicine, resident mentorship, and clinical practice within a supportive environment that values physician autonomy, collaboration, and innovation. Academic & Clinical Mix Approximately 80% teaching/preceptorship Approximately 20% outpatient continuity clinic (1 day per week) One week per month supervising Family Medicine inpatient service Leadership Responsibilities Resident mentorship and academic advising Curriculum oversight and program development Ensure compliance with ACGME accreditation standards Participate in resident recruitment, interviewing, and selection Maintain clinical practice aligned with residency program requirements Collaborate closely with Program Director and hospital leadership Promote resident wellness, professionalism, and compassionate patient care Clinical Support Access to a broad range of hospital specialties, including: General Surgery
OB/GYN
