Nesco Resource is hiring Metal Production Worker for our client in Corning, a leading manufacturer of innovative retail display solutions. If you enjoy hands-on work, working with machinery, and being part of a team that produces high-quality products, this could be the opportunity for you. Monday thru Friday 6:30am to 3 pm $17 per hour

What You'll Do

As a Machine Operator in the Metal Shop, you'll help manufacture components used in metal shelving systems and retail display products. Responsibilities include:

• Loading and positioning materials onto machinery
• Operating punch presses, shears, press brakes, roll-forming equipment, laser cutters, and other metal fabrication machinery
• Activating machine controls to bend, cut, punch, and form metal components
• Feeding metal sheets into rolling machines
• Installing hardware into finished products
• Performing visual inspections and measuring parts to ensure quality standards are met
• Reading tape measures and referencing drawings or specifications
• Completing daily production reports
• Maintaining a clean and safe work environment
• Following all company safety policies and procedures
• Assisting with additional duties as assigned

What We're Looking For

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Manufacturing or machine operation experience preferred
• Ability to read a tape measure and understand decimals and fractions
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Mechanical aptitude with troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to read and interpret drawings or blueprints is a plus
• Experience operating shears or similar equipment is a plus
• Effective communication skills and ability to follow instructions
• Willingness to cross-train on additional equipment, including forklifts and material handling equipment
• Ability to stand, bend, lift, and work in a physically demanding environment for extended periods
