Registered Nurse (RN) - NICU

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care to critically ill neonates while demonstrating strong clinical skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to neonates in the NICU.
• Administer medications and monitor vitals of patients.
• Perform necessary procedures such as central line insertion, PICC line placement, and umbilical line management.
• Utilize various oxygen delivery methods including nasal cannula, high flow, CPAP, NIV, and ventilator support.
• Participate in patient assessments and care planning.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Float to inpatient units as necessary based on unit needs.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio.
• Current CPR and NRP certifications.
• Minimum of 1 year of NICU experience preferred; more than 2 years is highly desirable.
• Competency in managing central lines, PICC lines, and umbilical lines.
• Skilled in all forms of oxygen delivery, including nasal cannula, high flow, CPAP, NIV, and ventilators.
• G-Tube and tracheostomy experience is preferred but not mandatory.

Work Schedule

This position requires 12-hour shifts, primarily during the night. Weekend availability is essential, with a schedule that typically includes working every third weekend, though this may vary based on unit needs.

Scrub Attire

All nurses are required to wear navy blue scrub tops and either navy blue or black scrub pants.
