Junior Maintenance Technician Position: Junior Maintenance Technician Primary Location: Marietta (GA, USA), Georgia, United States of America About You and This Role The purpose of the Tank Maintenance Technician is to ensure proper safety, maintenance, testing, and inspection of the portable pressurized tank fleet in Marietta. This activity is completed using approved procedures and practices to guarantee safe completion of tasks. The Technician will be a positive team player who assists other team members to build positive team chemistry. Responsibilities include developing technical skills on the job to perform routine work activities using existing standard operating procedures. Assigned tasks are completed with close to moderate supervision, resolving straightforward problems while maintaining accurate work and documentation. Responsibilities Follow established operating procedures and safety standards to ensure safe and efficient refurbishment of portable pressurized tanks. Adhere to all critical, non‑routine, and routine work procedures and policies associated with area responsibilities. Successfully complete all required training. Meet daily demand for tanks to be refurbished. Operate hand tools to refurbish tanks and replace tank fittings. Transfer product heels from tanks to storage vessels using approved procedures. Perform painting of tanks. Stage empty refurbished tanks for production needs. Ensure accuracy of tank tracking database and notify supervision of any anomalies per procedure. Perform OSHA‑required equipment inspections prior to use. Hydrotest portable pressurized tanks via authorized procedures. Operate forklift equipment to move drums, totes, pressurized tanks, and pallets safely. Operate turret lift equipment for staging and pulling materials from racks at heights exceeding 20 feet. Participate in root cause investigations if unplanned events or failures occur. Perform daily housekeeping activities as required by Dow policy. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED equivalent required. Capable of interfacing with a computer to input data. Attention to detail and data accuracy. Hands‑on maintenance experience preferred. Proficient in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English. Available to work any shift with occasional overtime as needed. Current, valid US driver’s license to drive a forklift. Experience operating forklift and turret lift at heights of 20 feet preferred. Must be legally eligible to work in the United States; no visa sponsorship available. Physical Requirements Wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as respirators, protective clothing, face masks, goggles, and boots; the respirator requires a clean‑shaven face. Lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs. Frequent bending, reaching, and lifting. Stand and walk for extended periods. Work at heights, climb stairs and ladders; use harnesses with a 300‑lb capacity. Operate in tight and enclosed spaces. No known sensitivity to chemicals. Your Skills Technical and Mechanical Aptitude: Operate hand tools, perform hydrotesting, paint tanks, and safely use forklifts and turret lifts at heights over 20 feet. Procedure and Safety Compliance: Follow standard operating procedures and safety protocols, including OSHA inspections and root cause investigations. Basic Computer and Data Accuracy Skills: Input and manage data accurately in tracking systems; report anomalies per procedure. Teamwork and Communication: Support team members and communicate effectively within the workgroup to build positive chemistry. Self‑Management and Accountability: Work independently with minimal supervision, complete tasks reliably, and take ownership of work quality.
