Construction Superintendent - School Construction

Job Description
Destinationone Consulting is proud to partner with a leading construction firm in the search for an experienced Superintendent to lead field operations on K-12 school construction projects in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Our client is seeking a seasoned construction professional with proven experience delivering new school construction, school expansions, and maintenance/upgrade projects within active educational environments. This role requires strong leadership, planning, and coordination skills to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and with minimal disruption to ongoing school operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and direct all job site activities from project start throughcompletion
• Oversee new school construction, additions, andrenovation/maintenance projects
• Coordinate work in active school environments, ensuringsafety and minimal disruption to staff and students
• Oversee self-perform labor crews and subcontractors to ensuresuccessful project execution
• Communicate daily with foremen and trades to ensure productivitytargets are met
• Ensure all project goals are achieved in accordance withspecifications, timelines, and budgets
• Lead weekly subcontractor meetings to review schedule performance,safety compliance, and quality control
• Monitor RFI status, delays, and scope changes
• Coordinate with subcontractors to ensure timely and accuratedrawings and deliverables
• Collaborate closely with the Project Manager and project team on allissues, risks, and changes
• Support project closeout processes, including meetings approximately30 days prior to completion
• Represent the client professionally in communications with owners,consultants, and healthcare stakeholders
• Develop and implement strategies to deliver projects on or ahead ofschedule and within budget
• Track and manage productivity of self-performed work
• Perform other duties as required

Supervision

• Supervise up to 300 employees and subcontractors combined,depending on project scope

Requirements

• Minimum 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent with aCommercial General Contractor
• Direct experience delivering K-12 school projects, including:
• New school construction
• School additions and expansions
• Renovations, upgrades, and maintenance projects
• Experience working with school districts or public-sectoreducation clients is strongly preferred
• Proven ability to manage projects in occupied/active schoolenvironments
• Diverse project experience including education, municipal, andinstitutional construction
• Experience with CMAR delivery method preferred

Strong background in:

• Constructability reviews
• Site logistics planning (especially inconstrained/active campuses)
• Subcontractor coordination
• Preconstruction scope review
• Proven ability to build, manage, and update project schedules
• Experience with Procore, e-Builder, P6, or similar constructionmanagement software
• Knowledge of:
• Self-perform concrete work
• MEPF systems and underground utilities
• Low-voltage systems (telecommunications, security,AV, fire alarm, EMS, etc.)

Work Environment

• Role is based on active construction sites in Las Vegas, NV,often within operational school campuses, requiring strictadherence to safety, scheduling, and coordination protocols
