Maintenance Custodian Associate

Position Summary Sam’s Club is seeking a Maintenance Associate to help shape a member’s entire shopping experience by maintaining a clean and safe store environment. The role requires constant movement on foot, a positive attitude, and a dedication to member satisfaction. Responsibilities Ensure members see a well‑kept parking lot, clean restrooms, and clean floors. Perform daily maintenance tasks, including sweeping, mopping, and operating floor scrubbers. Respond promptly to spills and dispose of cardboard, plastic, and trash in accordance with the Company Environmental Sustainability Program. Maintain appropriate levels of approved chemicals and supplies, rotate stock, and place orders when supplies are low. Follow all safety standards, procedures, and guidelines, including safety sweeps, forklift spotting, hazardous material handling, and steel standard guidelines. Report unsafe situations and maintain a safe, clean environment for members and associates. Minimum Qualifications Be 18 years of age or older. Preferred Qualifications Experience in a maintenance or custodial role. Ability to work an entire shift on your feet in physically demanding environments. Strong communication skills and a positive, customer‑focused attitude. Adaptability and willingness to thrive in fast‑paced environments. Compensation The hourly wage range for this position is $18.00 to $26.00. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances, based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed.
