Are you a skilled and compassionate Labor and Delivery RN looking for a new opportunity? We are seeking a highly qualified Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse with 4+ years of experience to join our dedicated healthcare team.
Position Overview: As an experienced Labor and Delivery RN, you will provide exceptional care to women during labor, delivery, and the postpartum period. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best outcomes for both mothers and babies, providing the highest standard of nursing care in a fast-paced, rewarding environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and monitor patients throughout labor, delivery, and recovery
- Administer medications and IV fluids as per physicians orders
- Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families
- Assist with deliveries, including cesarean sections and other interventions
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans
- Act as an advocate for patients' needs and preferences
Qualifications:
- Active RN license in New York State
- Minimum of 4 years experience in Labor and Delivery nursing
- Strong clinical knowledge and skills in obstetrics
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong commitment to patient-centered care
