CULVER'S® JOB DESCRIPTIONPORTERReports to manager on dutyJOB SUMMARY:Responsible for ensuring the smooth operations of the restaurant by performing interior and exterior facilities tasks and managing inventory efficiently and accurately.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Demonstrate sanitation and food safety practices consistentlyCheck over restaurant from previous close to ensure a safe and secure environmentComplete daily, weekly, and monthly jobs timely and accuratelyMaintain the appearance of the building interior, exterior, and grounds, including landscaping and snow removal as neededFollow company safety standards at all times and look out for the safety of other team members and guestsCoordinates job duties around other opening team members to ensure efficient preparation for openingPut food order away accurately, rotate stock in cooler, freezer, and dry storage area using the First-In-First-Out method while monitoring shelf life and code datesTake temperatures of required foods upon delivery accurately, and document as requiredMaintain a basic working knowledge of the operation of all the equipment in the restaurantComplete scheduled maintenance on all restaurant equipment safely and correctlyReport possible areas of incomplete closing or other restaurant operations to the General ManagerComplete other miscellaneous tasks as assignedQUALIFICATIONSStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to maintain a sense of urgency while working independently and with a teamAttention to detailStrong time management skillsMinimum one year of experience maintaining equipment and/or machinery, and/or maintaining indoor/outdoor spacesWork Environment & Physical RequirementsThe physical demands described here are representative of those to be met by a team member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job:Move items weighing up to 100 pounds for various needsPossess manual dexterity for assembly and maintenance tasksAble to reach, bend, push, pull and/or stretch body to grab or move itemsRemain in a standing position for 4 or more hours at a timeWork both indoors and outdoors each up to 50% of the timeClimb up and down a ladder to a height of 25 feetAble to use various kitchen equipment such as deep fryers, grills, toasters, etc.Frequent exposure to cold temperatures from coolers and freezers, as well as heat from cooking equipmentFrequent exposure to weather conditions such as heat, cold, rain, snow and windAble to see, read, and comprehend a variety of written or displayed mediaReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Work scheduleDay shift
