About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00 - 07:30) Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Active RN License required Certifications: ACLS, BLS required Must-Have: Epic experience required Description: Interviews cannot be guaranteed and scheduling requests cannot be accommodated. Schedule requirements include night shifts of 3x12 hours from 7 PM to 7:30 AM. Weekends may be required, likely every other week. Candidates will be reviewed for clinical fit. If approved, candidates will be sent to the hiring manager for a final decision. Minimum experience of 2 years is required. ACLS and BLS certifications are mandatory. Epic experience is required. Time off requests are limited to a maximum of 7 days. Weekend work is expected every other week. Holidays will require working one of two upcoming holidays. Floating may be required to all Medical Surgical floors and potentially Rehabilitation. Candidates may care for COVID-19 patients. Facility is tobacco and fragrance free. Candidates should notify travelers prior to submission. Patient ratios during days are 5 patients per nurse. Patient ratios during nights are 6 patients per nurse. Patient ratios on weekends are 5 patients per nurse. Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, and more. Daily census ranges from 25 to 30 patients. Typical patient diagnoses include CHF exacerbations, respiratory illness, and sepsis, among others. Special procedures may include stable open heart surgery patients transferred from ICU, typically on day 4 or 5 post-op. Special equipment may include virtual nursing systems. All candidates must hold their license with no exceptions. Travel pairs are allowed; however, matched schedules cannot be guaranteed. Candidates must be available to complete any additional testing as required. Modules are billable and generally take 5-6 hours to complete prior to starting.
