Lead Teacher | Promise Land Learning Center | Roanoke, VA Promise Land has served Roanoke families since 2013. We are hiring a Lead Teacher to run a warm, well-organized classroom and partner with families every day. What you will do - Plan and lead daily lessons aligned with Virginia's Early Learning and Development Standards - Observe and document each child's progress - Guide behavior with patience and respect: no punishment, no shaming, no physical discipline - Supervise children at all times and keep the classroom safe - Communicate with families daily - Coach and lead your Assistant Teacher What you bring - High school diploma or GED - 1+ year of experience with children in group care - CDA, early childhood certificate, or ECE coursework preferred - CPR and First Aid certification - 16 hours of professional development each year
