Vice President of Growth

About the Opportunity Our client, a global B2B event services organization, is seeking a VP of Growth to lead the continued growth and evolution of an established portfolio. This is a highly visible, commercially focused leadership role for an entrepreneurial leader who can combine strategic thinking with hands-on execution. The successful candidate will serve as a senior market-facing leader and the face of the portfolio, working closely with customers, exhibitors, sponsors, industry partners, and senior stakeholders to strengthen market position and identify new opportunities for growth. This leader will have broad ownership and influence across the event portfolio, including commercial strategy, growth initiatives, customer value, financial performance, and cross-functional execution. The Opportunity This is an opportunity to take an established and successful event platform and determine what comes next. Develop and execute the Americas growth strategy for the portfolio. Identify opportunities to expand into adjacent markets, sectors, and customer segments. Strengthen the value proposition for attendees, exhibitors, sponsors, and partners. Identify opportunities for new products, events, partnerships, and other revenue streams. Work closely with Sales to understand market feedback, customer needs, competitive dynamics, and opportunities for expansion. Provide strategic direction and commercial leadership across Marketing, Content, Operations, Editorial, Finance, and other supporting functions. Establish clear priorities, accountability, and momentum across cross-functional teams. Monitor financial performance and work with Finance and functional leaders to drive revenue, profitability, and return on investment. Challenge existing approaches and continuously look for ways to improve the customer experience and commercial performance. Build and maintain strong relationships with senior industry leaders, strategic partners, associations, and other key stakeholders. Represent the portfolio externally and serve as a highly visible ambassador in the market. Identify potential strategic partnerships, acquisitions, or other opportunities that could contribute to long-term growth. About You You are an experienced commercial, event, portfolio, or business leader who thinks like an entrepreneur. You are energized by building businesses, developing markets, and turning opportunities into measurable commercial results. You are equally comfortable setting the strategic direction and getting involved in the details required to make it happen. You bring strong commercial judgment and understand how to balance customer value, revenue growth, investment, and profitability. You do not need to have personally owned every aspect of a P&L, but you should be comfortable understanding financial performance, making commercially sound decisions, and influencing profitability. You are also a visible and credible leader who enjoys being in the market, developing relationships, listening to customers, and representing a business externally. You'll Bring: Significant experience leading a commercial business, event, portfolio, conference, exhibition, or related B2B organization. A demonstrated track record of growing revenue, profitability, markets, products, or customer segments. Strong commercial and financial acumen, with the ability to understand performance metrics and make informed investment decisions. Experience developing and executing growth strategies in the U.S. market. Experience identifying new markets, sectors, products, partnerships, or other avenues for growth. Strong relationship-building skills with senior executives, customers, partners, associations, and industry stakeholders. The ability to influence and lead cross-functional teams without relying solely on direct reporting relationships. A collaborative, entrepreneurial, and hands‑on leadership style. The ability to operate with autonomy, make decisions, and create momentum in a fast‑moving environment. Strong communication and presentation skills, with the executive presence to serve as the face of a business or portfolio.
