Job Opportunity Position Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse for a position in our Emergency Department. This role offers a variety of responsibilities and the chance to work in a dynamic environment focused on patient care and safety. Unit Information
- Location: Kansas City, MO
- Number of Beds: 38
- Areas of Focus: Rapid, Main, POD 3 (psych-safe area)
- Staffing: 7 Day Shift RNs, 7 Night Shift RNs, 0.5 Mid Shift RN
- Equipment Used: Ventilators, BiPAP, EKG, Arterial Lines, Belmont, Chest Tubes
- Electronic Medical Record: Meditech
- Prioritizing tasks
- Time Management
- De-escalation techniques (CPI certification preferred)
- Effective Time Management
- Team Collaboration
- Port Placement
- Chest Tube Placement
- Patient-focused
- Strong attention to detail
- Team player mentality
- Positive attitude
- Willingness to be coached
- Shift: 12 PM to 12 AM
- Weekend and Holiday Requirements: Minimum of 4 weekend shifts and 2 Fridays within a 4-week schedule, including 2 major and 2 minor holidays
