Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Director of Nursing (DON) to oversee nursing operations and ensure high-quality resident care in a long-term care facility. The DON will lead nursing staff, manage clinical services, ensure regulatory compliance, and promote resident safety and satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily nursing operations and clinical services within the facility.
• Supervise, guide, and support nursing staff, including RNs, LPNs, and CNAs.
• Develop and implement policies and procedures to maintain quality care.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal healthcare regulations.
• Monitor resident care plans, clinical documentation, and medication management.
• Manage staffing schedules, staff performance, and training.
• Coordinate with physicians, administrators, residents, and families.
• Monitor quality assurance, infection control, and patient safety initiatives.
• Address clinical concerns and support continuous improvement in resident care.

Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Previous nursing leadership or supervisory experience required.
• Experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or rehabilitation settings preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of nursing standards, regulatory requirements, and quality improvement practices.
