Immediate opening for a QC Technician-Aerospace in Vista, CA who possesses:

• 2+ years experience working with hand tools (calipers, micrometers, height gauges) on large aerospace parts
• Exposure and experience working with GD&T
• Experience in quality inspection within the aerospace industry
• Experience working in a warehouse environment, assisting with shipping/receiving and product organization

FULL DESCRIPTION :

The selected candidate will be responsible for:

• Utilization of ERP (enterprise resource planning) system and Wrike (Project management tool).
• Maintain inspection documentation and ensure traceability of materials.
• Record and report inspection results accurately in Epicor.
• Accurately document and verify quantities of received items or backorders.
• Implement inspections and verifications on the mill/lathe using a machine probe system.
• Use measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, granite surface plates, height gauge, tape measures, and bore gauges.
• Collaborate with the Purchasing department to resolve material quality issues.
• Use of the Faro arm and Leica laser tracker.
• Communicate with various departments regarding material received and utilize the interim MRP to update current information. emails to update Team Leads (typically Machining).
• Stamp, initial, and date each line item on the purchase order.

The selected candidate will also possess:

• Proficient in interpreting Engineering Drawings
• Proficient in the fundamental understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
• Able to read, write, and count accurately to complete all documentation.
• Ability to accurately use inspection devices and tools.
• Utilize Microsoft programs for details on daily operations and project statuses. Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams and SharePoint.
• Ability to carry out tasks efficiently and independently, even without constant on-site supervision.
• Apply practical and logical reasoning to complete tasks successfully.
• Capacity to understand, retain, and execute verbal and written directions and information.
• An open-minded team player who is open to critique and motivated to grow within the job role.
• Ability to concentrate on a task over a period without being distracted.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Self-driven and eager to close out tasks.

Salary Range: $28.00-$35.00/hour
