Accounting Clerk

The Accounting Clerk supports the accounting department by performing a variety of clerical and accounting tasks. This role is responsible for reconciling and creating credit card deposits and various other accounting support activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Enter and process Visa/Mastercard credit card batches to create daily deposit in a timely manner
• Reconcile and record John Deere credit card deposits
• Research and correct credit card transactions associated with Visa Mastercard or John Deere credit card deposits to ensure records stay up to date.
• Backup for daily cash and check deposits and reconciliations.
• Maintain accurate and organized accounting records and supporting documentation
• Communicate with internal departments regarding issues and corrections regarding cash/check or credit card transactions
• Perform other accounting and clerical duties as assigned

Requirements

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree in accounting or related field preferred
• 13 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience preferred
• Basic understanding of accounting principles (debits, credits, and general ledger)
• Strong data entry skills with a high level of accuracy
• Experience with accounting software and Microsoft Excel
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Attention to detail and problem-solving ability

Work Environment

• Office-based position at our Administration building in Woodway, TX
• May involve extended periods of computer use and data entry
