Registered Nurse - IMC/PCU/Stepdown

Job Description

Job Summary:
Registered Nurse specializing in IMC, PCU, or Stepdown units providing direct patient care for various medical conditions. Collaborates with healthcare teams to ensure effective care delivery and positive patient outcomes while maintaining professional standards.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized nursing care to patients based on scientific nursing principles.
• Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient treatment plans.
• Interact professionally with patients and visitors, ensuring a compassionate experience.
• Adhere to safety protocols, including certification and laboratory testing requirements before and during assignments.
• Complete necessary documentation and charting, preferably with Altera experience.
• Maintain compliance with travel and facility-specific policies, including drug screens and local radius limitations.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid Registered Nurse license in hand with certification verification.
• Possess at least 2 years of recent experience in a similar service line.
• Be able to complete all mandated lab and certification requirements within 72 hours of acceptance.
• Meet minimum travel compliance criteria, residing 150 miles or more from the facility.
• Have current ACLS and NIH certifications; BLS required.
• Demonstrate flexibility to float to other floors or campuses as needed.
