Maintenance Technician
The Maintenance Technician ensures that production machinery and facility equipment operate efficiently, consistently, and reliably to support manufacturing operations. This role focuses on quickly diagnosing and resolving issues that cause machine downtime, accurately documenting all work in an electronic database, and supporting facility systems such as HVAC, plumbing, compressors, sliding doors, man lifts, pallet jacks, and battery-powered devices. The Maintenance Technician works with a safety-first mindset and contributes positively to a collaborative, employee-focused culture.
Responsibilities
- Service, monitor, and maintain PLC and NC driven equipment, supporting devices, and factory machinery to minimize downtime and maintain reliable production operations.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance (PMs and CMs) on industrial production and manufacturing facility equipment.
- Record all maintenance activities in an electronic database and complete all required forms accurately and promptly.
- Use gauges and measuring instruments to verify dimensions and ensure equipment and components meet specified tolerance requirements.
- Operate equipment such as scissor lifts, articulating lifts, forklifts, and similar material handling and access equipment safely and efficiently.
- Use precision tools, machinery, and equipment such as lathes, vertical milling machines, and drill presses to repair, adjust, or fabricate components as needed.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical systems, including PLC-controlled machinery and associated equipment.
- Assist with facility maintenance needs, including HVAC systems, plumbing, compressors, sliding doors, man lifts, pallet jacks, and battery-powered devices.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and equipment documentation to support maintenance and repair activities.
- Comply with all quality and safety policies, specifications, regulations, lockout/tagout procedures, and work instructions at all times.
- Follow established environmental preservation policies and support environmentally responsible maintenance practices.
- Collaborate with production, engineering, and other maintenance team members to resolve issues and improve equipment reliability.
- Perform any other related duties or responsibilities as assigned by leadership.
Essential Skills
- High school diploma or equivalency.
- Minimum of 35 years of industrial production and manufacturing facility maintenance experience.
- Proven knowledge and experience working with and maintaining PLC machines.
- Experience performing preventive maintenance (PMs) and corrective maintenance (CMs) on industrial equipment.
- Strong mechanical and electrical system knowledge with demonstrated troubleshooting abilities.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Proficiency with gauges and measuring instruments to verify tolerances.
- Experience using precision tools and machinery such as lathes, vertical milling machines, and drill presses.
- Ability to safely operate equipment such as scissor lifts, articulating lifts, and forklifts.
- Understanding and application of lockout/tagout and other safety procedures.
- Computer literacy, including the ability to enter and manage maintenance records in electronic systems.
- Team-oriented mindset with the ability to contribute positively to company culture.
- Strong safety-first attitude and commitment to following quality and safety policies.
Additional Skills & Qualifications

Work Environment
The role is based in an industrial manufacturing environment that includes both production areas and some climate-controlled spaces. Work involves regular interaction with production machinery, PLC and NC driven equipment, and facility systems such as HVAC, plumbing, compressors, and material handling equipment. The Maintenance Technician frequently uses precision tools, lathes, vertical milling machines, drill presses, and powered industrial vehicles such as scissor lifts, articulating lifts, and forklifts. Work hours may align with production needs and can require flexibility to support equipment uptime and facility operations.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Denton, TX.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $30.00/hr.
