Work Environment\n

This position will be conducted in a remote setting, but the work will be pivotal in the hospice center's operations. Given the sensitive nature of hospice care, flexibility in scheduling is required, with some evening and weekend hours needed to accommodate the diverse needs of our clients and their families.   • Utilize your education and clinical training to perform comprehensive psychosocial assessments and accurately diagnose patients’ mental health needs.

  • Collaborate with patients to create personalized, patient-centered treatment plans that focus on their unique emotional difficulties and life situations.

  • Implement evidence-based interventions and therapeutic techniques—such as solution-focused therapy, motivational interviewing, and behavioral activation—to aid patients in navigating their emotional and psychological challenges.

  • Coordinate seamlessly with other healthcare professionals within the hospice team, including primary care providers and specialists, to ensure comprehensive and integrated care.

  • Monitor patient progress systematically, evaluating treatment responses and adjusting care strategies in collaboration with other mental health and medical professionals, either in person or through virtual consultations.

  • Support patients in adherence to prescribed psychotropic medications, including monitoring for side effects and evaluating the overall effectiveness of the treatment as guided by licensed medical providers.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The ideal candidate will work closely with patients and their families facing serious illnesses and end-of-life issues. This requires a deep empathy and understanding of the psychosocial dynamics at play in hospice care, providing emotional support and guidance during a sensitive period in their lives.

Qualifications\n

  • A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.

  • Current, valid, and unrestricted license to practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Nevada.

  • A minimum of 1 year of experience working as an independently licensed therapist, preferably in a healthcare or hospice setting.

  • Experience working within hospice, palliative care, or similar environments.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary for this position ranges from $80,000 to $100,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
