As experts in aviation and transportation, we assist owners, architects, engineers, and planners with cost estimating, scheduling, planning, and project management.Position SummaryAs an Architectural Cost Estimator (Specialist), you will support the development of detailed cost estimates for architectural and structural systems on complex infrastructure projects, including airports. This role is ideal for someone who is technically strong, detail-oriented, and ready to take ownership of project scopes, while continuing to grow in both estimating expertise and leadership influence. You will work closely with senior estimators and cross-disciplinary teams, contributing to high-quality deliverables while helping to train and support junior staff.What You'll DoExecute Estimating & Project DeliveryPerform quantity takeoffs (QTO) and develop cost estimates across multiple project phasesAnalyze plans and specifications to identify scope gaps, conflicts, and inconsistenciesDevelop preliminary estimates with limited information and validate against benchmarksQuantify and price materials and labor for structural and architectural systemsSupport estimate reconciliations by presenting quantities, assumptions, and cost driversDrive Technical Accuracy & AnalysisApply conceptual estimating techniques and standardized reporting methodsConduct quality checks on takeoffs, pricing, and cost buildupsMaintain accurate cost data, assemblies, and estimating databasesSupport value engineering and life-cycle cost analysis effortsCollaborate Across TeamsCoordinate with other disciplines to ensure complete and accurate project scope coverageManage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and quality expectationsCommunicate clearly with internal teams and stakeholders on project updates and risksSupport Team DevelopmentProvide day-to-day technical guidance to AnalystsSupport onboarding and skill development through hands-on trainingContribute to development of best practices, templates, and training materialsEngage with ClientsParticipate in client meetings and discussions related to assigned scopesSupport strong client relationships through clear communication and reliable deliveryAssist in site visits and industry engagement opportunities as neededWhat You Bring6+ years of architectural and/or structural estimating experienceStrong experience with structural systems (steel, concrete, foundations, etc.)Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or related field (or equivalent experience)Proven ability to develop accurate quantity takeoffs and cost estimatesExperience managing multiple projects and delivering high-quality work on deadlinesProficiency in estimating tools (OST, MII, Success, Timberline, etc.)Strong knowledge of MasterFormat, UniFormat, and construction documentsAbility to interpret architectural, civil, and engineering drawings across design phasesIndustry certifications such as CCP, CPE, RICS, CEP, PMP, or similarProficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Teams, Outlook, Word)Aviation project experience is not required, but preferred.Federal, U.S. Military, DOT experience is a plusWhy Join ConnicoSalary range $110,000 - $135,000 with bonus opportunities (commensurate with experience)Opportunity to work on complex, high-visibility airport and infrastructure projectsStrong culture of collaboration, respect, and technical excellenceClear growth path into Senior-level roles and beyondWork Location Options:Hybrid (T/W/TH in-office):Hebron, KY (Cincinnati area)Mt.
