Shifts: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
Seven Healthcare are seeking a skilled Sterile Processing Technician for a travel assignment in Bethpage, NY. This role involves working in a state-of-the-art off-site reprocessing center that provides sterile processing services. The technician will be part of a busy team servicing nine facilities, including tertiary sites and ambulatory surgery centers. Every other weekend work is required.

- Disassemble, clean, sterilize, reassemble, and package sterile supplies according to specifications and department protocols
- Operate washers, sterilizers, ultrasonic machines, steam and ethylene oxide sterilizers, heat sealers, and other equipment
- Adhere to instrument count sheets for surgical sets and case carts
- Retrieve used trays, instruments, and equipment from surgical and clinical hospital areas for decontamination
- Examine instruments and equipment for cleanliness, proper assembly, and functionality
- Assist in ordering, stocking, and maintaining department inventory levels
- Maintain a contaminant-free work environment
- Current Sterile Processing Certification (CRCST or CSPD) - must not expire during the assignment
- High School Diploma or equivalent, required
- 2+ years of certified experience in a tertiary setting or 1 year of certified experience with 4 years of SPT experience in a tertiary setting
- Experience with STERIS Washers and the SynergyTrak IT System
- Ability to lift/carry 25 pounds and stand, bend, lift, and/or reach for extended periods of time
- Effective communication skills in English (verbal and written)
