What You'll Do

• Prepare and dispense medication orders accurately according to physician requests
• Interpret drug orders and verify data into patient records
• Compound sterile and non-sterile pharmaceuticals, including chemotherapy and parenteral nutrition
• Issue controlled substances and maintain appropriate records
• Monitor patient drug therapies, ensuring safe, effective, and cost-efficient treatments
• Provide clinical pharmacology consultation to medical staff
• Participate in quality improvement and medication review activities
• Educate patients and families on medication use and safety
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams during rounds and clinical interventions

What You Need

• Required: Louisiana Pharmacy license, BLS certification
• Preferred: ACLS certification, hospital pharmacy experience
• Key Skills: Attention to detail, clinical judgment, teamwork, and communication skills
