The Security Officer will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our premises, personnel, and assets. This role requires a strong commitment to maintaining a safe and orderly environment while responding to security incidents as they arise. Key Responsibilities: Surveillance: Monitor CCTV cameras and conduct regular patrols to detect and deter any suspicious activities or potential security threats. Access Control: Ensure only authorized personnel and visitors enter the premises. Verify identification, issue visitor passes, and maintain visitor logs. Emergency Response: Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, or incidents. Take appropriate actions to protect life and property. Report Writing: Prepare accurate incident reports, detailing any security breaches, accidents, or disturbances, and submit them to supervisors as required. Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to employees, visitors, and clients by offering assistance, answering questions, and addressing concerns professionally. Property Protection: Secure doors, windows, and gates as needed. Check for signs of damage, unauthorized entry, or vandalism. Equipment Maintenance: Ensure that all security equipment, such as cameras, alarms, and access control systems, is functioning correctly. Report any malfunction or damage for repairs. Conflict Resolution: Handle conflicts and disputes calmly and professionally. Use de-escalation techniques to defuse tense situations when necessary. Safety Compliance: Enforce company safety policies and procedures. Identify potential safety hazards and report them to the appropriate personnel. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent. Proven experience as a Security Officer or related role is preferred. Valid security license or certification (if required by local regulations). Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Strong observation and attention to detail. Physical fitness and ability to stand, walk, and occasionally lift heavy objects. Ability to remain calm and composed in high-stress situations. Knowledge of security protocols and procedures. Basic computer skills for operating security equipment and preparing reports.
