For the upcoming Summer Camp at our San Francisco location starting on June 29 until July 31, 2026 , we are looking for:
Camp Teachers (Preschool and Kindergarten)
The GISSV Summer Camp is looking for applicants to teach in Preschool and Kindergarten. This is a temporary position for at least 2 to a maximum of 5 weeks during summer break. Work hours are from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM (Monday through Friday) and participation in teachers meetings.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement age-appropriate, engaging, and developmentally suitable activities for children ages 2 to 6.
- Deliver high-quality instruction in Preschool and Kindergarten classrooms.
- Conduct morning and afternoon enrichment and recreational activities, promoting creativity, collaboration, and social-emotional growth.
- Observe and assess children’s progress, providing feedback to parents and program leadership.
- Maintain a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers, participate in planning meetings, and contribute to program improvement.
- Supervise children during indoor and outdoor activities, following all safety guidelines and policies.
Experience and Qualifications:
- Degree in Early Childhood Education (B.A.), min. 12 ECE Credits or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a preschool environment. Experience in a bilingual environment is a plus.
- Extensive expertise in working with children ages 2 to 6.
- Experience with differentiated instruction to support each child’s unique development with knowledge, empathy, and sensitivity.
- International experience is advantageous.
- Proficient in English. German is a plus.
FLSA Classification: Non-exempt (Hourly)
Reports To: Head of Auxiliary Programs
Pay Range: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour worked, depending on experience
Full-Time/Part-Time: 30 hours per week
Location: San Francisco, CA
