Scrum Master - 6-12 Month Contract | St. Louis, MO (Hybrid)

About the Role
Join a dynamic, large-scale enterprise environment as a Scrum Master supporting multiple Agile software development teams. In this highly visible, hybrid role, you'll serve as a servant leader, coach, and facilitator, driving delivery excellence while helping shape the organization's Agile transformation. Responsibilities

- Facilitate key Agile ceremonies, including Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives for 2-3 development teams.
- Coach teams in Scrum principles, Agile best practices, and continuous improvement strategies.
- Proactively identify and remove impediments to ensure teams remain focused and productive.
- Partner with Product Owners and stakeholders to translate business requirements into actionable user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Track team commitments, monitor progress, and address risks to ensure successful delivery.
- Support backlog refinement, estimation, and planning activities for optimal workflow.
- Communicate project status, risks, dependencies, and achievements to leadership and business partners.
- Guide teams through conflict resolution and foster a collaborative, solution-oriented culture.
- Assist with requirements gathering, process documentation, and project planning as needed.
- Support quality assurance, testing efforts, and defect remediation planning.
- Protect teams from distractions and help prioritize work to align with organizational goals.
- Drive adoption of Agile practices, tailoring approaches to fit the organization's current Agile maturity.

Required Skills and Experience

- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business, Computer Science, or related field
- Minimum 3 years' experience as a Scrum Master or in a similar Agile delivery role
- Proven experience supporting Agile software development teams within a large enterprise
- Deep understanding of Scrum frameworks, Agile methodologies, and software development lifecycle
- Skilled in facilitating Agile ceremonies and driving team accountability
- Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management abilities
- Practical experience in project planning, scope management, scheduling, and risk management
- Skilled in conflict resolution, team facilitation, and influencing without direct authority
- Ability to work onsite in St. Louis, MO as needed (hybrid arrangement)

Preferred Skills

- Experience managing multiple projects or workstreams simultaneously
- Exposure to Agile transformation initiatives in evolving environments
- Experience with work estimation, capacity planning, and delivery forecasting
