Job Purpose
We are seeking a highly skilled Informatica Developer to join our Application Development Integration Tools team. The role focuses on integrating on-premise and cloud-based systems that form the core of business operations. As a senior developer, you will act as an ETL development subject matter expert, leveraging Informatica IDMC (CDI and CAI), PowerCenter, and IDEM. Your responsibilities will include designing solutions, translating business requirements, developing and testing integrations, troubleshooting the data environment, and ensuring secure, efficient ETL processes.

This role requires strong analytical skills to diagnose and resolve system errors, compliance with secure coding guidelines, and collaboration with stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle.

• Design, develop, and implement ETL solutions using Informatica IDMC (CDI, CAI), PowerCenter, and IDEM.
• Translate functional requirements into technical designs and specifications.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and revise programs to address system errors.
• Participate in architecture, design, and code reviews.
• Optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and ETL processes for performance and efficiency.
• Develop and maintain technical and operational documentation.
• Ensure compliance with secure coding practices as defined by USDA RMA, PCI DSS, NY DFS Cybersecurity Regulations, FFIEC IT Examination Handbook, CIS, and NIST guidelines.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support integration of on-premise and cloud-based systems.
• Support deployment activities and manage Informatica workflows in production environments.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of experience working in medium or large-scale environments supporting Informatica.
• Strong experience developing with Informatica PowerCenter, including workflows, deployment, and scheduling.
• 4+ years of SQL experience (writing, modifying, troubleshooting, and optimizing queries and stored procedures).
• Deep understanding of relational and dimensional data modeling, data mapping, integration, and migration.
• Expertise in ETL performance optimization, job recovery, failover, logging, and alerting mechanisms.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience developing with Java, J2EE, and SQL scripting.
• Knowledge of DB2, PL/SQL, JDBC, and workflow/mapping tools.
• Experience with Azure Data Factory.
• Familiarity with database building and management.
• Previous experience in the banking or insurance industry.
