Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Adult Emergency Department position requiring recent Level I/II or III/IV ED experience and telemetry rhythm interpretation skills.

Details

• Work in a high-volume Adult Emergency Department serving 350-440 patients per day with up to 120 treatment areas
• Night shift schedule of 4x12hr shifts (48 hrs/week), 7p-7:30a
• Work every other weekend, 2 weekends within a 4-week schedule period
• Every other holiday required, including 2 of the 3 winter holidays and surrounding days
• Patient ratio of 1:4-5 depending on acuity
• Flexibility to float to Psych ED and Pediatric ED (caring for patients age 15+ in pedi unless prior pediatric experience) required
• Travelers will not be placed in trauma rooms during this assignment
• Contract runs through 01/09/2027
• 48-hour contracts preferred, though 36-hour contracts will also be considered

Requirements

• Active MA RN license required
• Current BLS, ACLS, TNCC, and PALS certifications required
• Minimum 1.5 years of recent Level I or II ED experience, or 2+ years of recent Level III/IV ED experience required
• Must be able to independently read and interpret telemetry rhythm strips, including identifying heart blocks
• Must pass a Telemetry Test with a score of 85% or higher on Day 1
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• Critical care experience preferred
• Previous travel assignment experience preferred

Additional Information

• Provide emergency nursing care in a very busy, high-acuity Adult ED setting
• Must be willing to sign contract through 01/09/2027 and commit to holiday coverage requirements
• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are considered local
