LTAC/Telemetry Registered Nurse

Schedule: 07:00 - 19:00

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Job Description: The LTAC/Telemetry Registered Nurse is responsible for providing comprehensive patient care by utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies and procedures. The nurse is expected to demonstrate critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, and effective leadership while planning for the safe delivery of care. The role encompasses maintaining clinical competencies through continuing education, delegating patient care priorities appropriately, and supervising assigned personnel in delivering patient care.

Responsibilities:

• Utilize the Nursing Process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Demonstrate critical thinking and scientific judgment in anticipating and planning for patient care delivery.
• Maintain and enhance clinical competencies through ongoing education and training.
• Delegate patient care duties based on the education and experience of available staff.
• Provide direction and supervision to personnel involved in patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Current ACLS and BLS certifications (must be through the American Heart Association).
• Active Missouri RN or multi-state RN license.
• Previous experience in an LTAC or Telemetry nursing role is preferred.
