Role Overview

As a Support Specialist - Utilization Review, you'll be a critical part of our centralized Utilization Review team, ensuring timely and accurate authorization tracking and resolution. You'll work directly with third-party payers, obtaining approvals, denials, and additional information requests within our EMR system. Your role is essential in maintaining efficient operations and supporting high-quality patient care.

What You Will Do

• Obtain and track approvals, denials, and additional information requests from third-party payers within the EMR.
• Ensure timely resolution of authorization processes to support patient care.
• Communicate effectively with payers and internal teams to achieve department outcomes.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation for all utilization review activities.

Qualifications

What You Will Need

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma/G.E.D.
• Working knowledge of computers and software systems.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, and interpersonal skills.
• Minimum one (1) year of experience in healthcare.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in Epic.
