Senior Financial Analyst

Vaco is partnering with a growing, privately held organization to identify a Senior Financial Analyst / FP&A Manager to join its finance team. This is a highly visible FP&A opportunity for someone who enjoys owning the planning and reporting process, partnering directly with business leaders, and turning financial and operational data into actionable insights. The position will have exposure to senior executives and board-level reporting and offers strong long-term growth potential. Location: Atlanta, Georgia Schedule: Hybrid - 3 days onsite / 2 days remote Compensation: $115K-$140K base + 5-10% annual bonus What You'll Do Lead budgeting, forecasting, annual planning, and variance analysis across the organization Develop financial models to support strategic initiatives, scenario planning, and capital allocation decisions Analyze financial and operational performance, KPIs, trends, and business drivers Partner closely with business unit and functional leaders, serving as a trusted finance advisor Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting packages for senior leadership Own budget-to-actual analysis and provide detailed explanations of key variances Prepare and distribute weekly forecasts and monthly financial and operational dashboards Present financial insights and recommendations to executive, functional, and commercial leadership Support month-end financial review processes, including gross profit analysis across business units Prepare payroll and labor actual-to-plan analysis, including FTE reporting Support commission and management incentive calculations Handle ad hoc financial analysis and reporting as business needs arise What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or Master's degree is a plus 5+ years of experience in FP&A, corporate finance, financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, or a related role Strong experience with budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial modeling Experience supporting month-end financial reviews and management reporting Advanced Excel skills Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Business Central, or similar platforms Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or other business intelligence/data visualization tools is a plus Working knowledge of GAAP and financial statement analysis Ability to analyze complex financial and operational data and translate findings into actionable business recommendations Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to partner effectively across finance, operations, and senior leadership Ability to manage multiple priorities and thrive in a fast-paced environment Experience leveraging AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, or Microsoft Copilot is a plus This is an excellent opportunity for a strong FP&A professional looking for greater ownership, executive visibility, and the opportunity to make an impact within a stable and growing organization.
