Respiratory Therapist Critical Care

Schedule

12-hour night shift, 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM, every other weekend, every other holiday.

Assignment Details

Guaranteed Hours: 36 Contract Weeks: 13

Requirements

• 3+ years of recent experience in a Level 1 or Level 2 trauma facility
• NICU Level 3 and adult critical care experience required
• RRT certification
• MA Respiratory Care license
• BLS certification
• NRP certification
• NPS and/or ACCS certifications preferred
• Familiarity with lung protective ventilation
• Participation on Code Blue team
• Able to make ventilator decisions based on patient assessment and laboratory results

Responsibilities

• Administer respiratory therapies and manage ventilators
• Monitor patient vital signs and adjust treatments as necessary
• Collaborate with medical team in critical care settings
• Provide education to patients and families regarding respiratory conditions
• Participate in emergency response as part of the Code Blue team
