My client is a growing group of companies in the transportation and logistics space, headquartered in High Point. The portfolio includes a white-glove service provider, a freight brokerage, and a self-service SaaS platform. Each business has its own customers and its own story to tell, and we are targeting to add a dynamic marketing leader that is a self-starter and can expand on the vision of the President.

Scope

\n

This is the first marketing hire for the group. You'll build the function from the ground up and serve as a shared-service marketing leader across all four businesses. You'll work with a lot of autonomy and report directly to company leadership, who will give you the vision and trust you to run with it. Success in 12 months looks like each brand having a clear, distinct identity, a consistent digital presence, and marketing programs that generate real pipeline. By then you'll also be ready to add your first direct report.

What You'll Own

\n

\n
• Lead rebranding for the businesses, from public identity and messaging to signage and physical presence
\n
• Build and run digital content strategy, with LinkedIn engagement and social media at the center, for four brands with four different audiences
\n
• Plan and execute email campaigns that nurture prospects and keep current customers engaged
\n
• Create sales and promotional materials that help each business tell its story and close deals
\n
• Shape the go-to-market for the SaaS platform, including a future site built to give dealerships a showroom feel
\n
• Partner with leadership to expand the vision. Bring ideas, test them, and figure out what's worth scaling
\n
• Build out the marketing team over time, starting with an administrative hire within the first year
\n

What You Bring

\n

Must-haves:

\n

\n
• 5+ years of hands-on marketing experience, with ownership of brand, digital, and campaign work
\n
• A track record of running marketing independently, with little day-to-day direction
\n
• Experience marketing more than one brand, product line, or business unit at the same time
\n
• Strong command of LinkedIn and social platforms, email marketing tools, and content creation
\n
• Comfort working on-site in High Point every day
\n

Nice-to-haves:

\n
• Background in logistics, transportation, B2B services, or SaaS
\n
• Experience leading a rebrand from strategy through rollout
\n
• Experience building a marketing function from scratch or as the first marketing hire
