Member Consultant II – Role Overview Member Consultant II will provide an exceptional member experience and consultative services across BECU’s product and service offerings. The role requires product knowledge to deliver excellent customer service and sales, sign line and loan documents, and support financial wellness initiatives. Pay Range $26.00–$32.12 per hour (subject to skills, experience, and market competitiveness, with offers typically within $26–$28 per hour). Benefits 401(k) Company Match (up to 3%) 4% annual contribution to your 401(k) by BECU Medical, Dental, and Vision (family contributions as well) PTO Program + Exchange Program Tuition Reimbursement Program BECU Cares volunteer time off + donation match Responsibilities Utilize product knowledge to provide excellent customer service and sales across business services, consumer lending, deposit servicing, IRA, POA, and Fiduciary accounts. Sign all line agreements and loan documents that originate through outbound or inbound call center, ensuring each member’s needs are fulfilled. Assist the community with financial wellness programs, including financial education, budgeting, debt management, and access to planning resources. Pod Expectations Work across pod branches (Kirkland, Kirkland Central) and rotate as required for up to first year or more. Remain in the role, pod, and schedule for a minimum of one year before pursuing other opportunities within BECU. Training includes travel to the Tukwila Financial Center; commute between branches & training location required. Work flexibility: schedules given 30 days in advance but may adapt to varying schedules and branch assignments based on business needs. Training Schedule 12 weeks of training, Monday–Friday, flexible shifts between 8:00 AM – 6:30 PM. Post‑Training Schedule Flexible shifts Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 6:30 PM. Up to three Saturdays per month, 8:30 AM – 1:30 PM. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent related experience. Minimum two years of experience in a sales‑oriented, financial, or retail environment. Desired Qualifications One year of experience in a financial institution. Spanish language fluency (highly desirable). Thorough understanding of the sales process and ability to manage a sales pipeline efficiently. Strong proficiency and comfort with learning new systems and programs; ability to navigate multiple systems simultaneously. Ability to successfully complete a 12‑week in‑house training program after hire. Comprehensive understanding of Credit Union objectives, product solutions. Knowledge of state and federal laws and regulations pertaining to membership, deposit, and loan products. Proficient verbal and written communication skills to enable daily interaction with members.
