Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Cath Lab RN with a minimum of 2 years of experience for a day shift position requiring an active CA RN license.

Details

• hospital setting within the Cardiac Cath Lab unit
• Case volume varies from 0 to 5-6 procedures per day
• Uses Cerner, Sensis, and Merge charting/imaging systems
• Schedule consists of (4) 10-hour day shifts on Mon/Tue/Thu/Fri, 9:30a-8p
• Possible call requirements
• RNs are responsible for circulating; scrubbing is not required
• Cath Lab Techs handle scrubbing duties

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab experience required
• Experience with PCIs, peripherals, diagnostic caths, nephrostomy tubes, and IVC filters required
• Must have sufficient experience to help train new nurses
• Knowledge of balloon pumps preferred
• STEMI experience is a plus
• Copy of driver's license required for consideration
• Two professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months worked, and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years worked, including employment dates and rehire eligibility

Additional Information

• Circulate for a variety of cardiac catheterization procedures including PCIs, peripheral interventions, diagnostic caths, nephrostomy tube placements, and IVC filter placements
• Help train and mentor new nurses on the unit
• All STEMI cases are transferred to a nearby facility in Turlock, CA
• MyJourney training modules will be assigned during orientation
• Facility currently operates 1 cath lab with plans to expand to 2 in the future
