Job Description

The PHLprek Teacher is responsible for fostering a supportive and engaging learning environment for young children aged 3 to 5 years. The role involves managing small class sizes of under 15 students, delivering a state standards-based curriculum, and maintaining strong communication with parents through regular updates and meetings.

 

Responsibilities

• Plan and prepare age-appropriate lessons aligned with state standards
• Supervise and manage classroom activities to ensure a safe and productive environment
• Implement curriculum to meet developmental needs of children aged 3-5 years
• Assess student progress and development regularly
• Communicate effectively with parents, providing updates and organizing meetings
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, behavior, and performance

 

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in early childhood education
• Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field
