We are seeking a Business Intelligence Engineer who is passionate about leveraging data to deliver actionable insights for Amazon Freight. Key job responsibilities Generate insightful analysis, reporting, and data visualizations to answer critical business questions, proactively identify notable trends, and communicate business performance Translate data into actionable insights for stakeholders while proactively identifying new areas of opportunity to drive further improvements Apply expertise in data mining and modeling leveraging multiple data sources to uncover unique insights, identify key performance drivers, and build predictive models Work backwards from your end‑customer to define, design, and execute each work item with an emphasis on improved metrics, productivity, and efficiency Recognize and adopt best practices in reporting and analysis: data integrity, test design, analysis, validation, and documentation Basic Qualifications 3+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc. experience Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines Experience using SQL to pull data from a database or data warehouse and scripting experience (Python) to process data for modeling Experience in Statistical Analysis packages such as R, SAS and Matlab 3+ years of experience using excel for deep dive and provide actionable insight to stakeholders Preferred Qualifications Experience with AWS solutions such as EC2, DynamoDB, S3, and Redshift Experience in data mining, ETL, etc. and using databases in a business environment with large-scale, complex datasets Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. Your Amazon package will include sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
