CNC Machinist - 1st shift

Our Opening and Your Responsibilities The CNC Machinist is responsible for setting up and operating a variety of machine tools to produce precision parts while maintaining quality and safety standards. Physically and systematically receive and verify raw material receipts Ability to safely load and unload material both manually and utilizing a forklift Communicate material location changes with inventory team Deburr parts and help ensure quality standards are met Following the work schedule as assigned and ability to layout the correct priorities for the work scheduled Ensure all parts produced is confirmed in SAP, tagged and staged in proper locations Perform cycle counting as required Operates Manual Mills/Lathes/Plastic Machining (Hardinge, GMC, Bridgeport) Performs routine preventative maintenance on machinery Performs Quality at the Source checks on made parts Accurately records actual labor estimates on all production orders Keeps work area(s) clean and organized to 5S standards Adheres to all company policies and procedures Other duties as assigned What You Need to Succeed High School diploma or equivalent Ability to work with basic hand tools, squaring and straight edge tools Ability to safely load and unload machines with various materials Ability to prioritize and problem solve Proficiency in reading and understanding blueprints and engineered drawings Basic SAP system experience Basic Lean Manufacturing understanding Ability to multi-task and be detail oriented Ability to perform duties using imperial and metric measurements Able to follow written and oral instructions Ability to work in fast-paced environment Basic knowledge of set-up functions Safety awareness Ability to safely lift 50 lbs. and work in multiple positions (i.e. stand, sit, lay, squat, bend, kneel) for prolonged periods of time Ability to work overtime This position is considered safety sensitive and is subject to drug testing as permitted by law.
