Location: Waynesville, NC - serving Buncombe County and Haywood County
Start Date: May 25, 2026
End Date: August 21, 2026
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: 8-hour shifts, Monday-Friday (8:00 AM - 4:30 PM)
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
On-Call/Weekend: Negotiable (1 Saturday per month possible)
Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,030 - $2,190
Travel/Mileage: Mileage reimbursed between patient visits

Job Requirements

Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent doctoral degree in Physical Therapy required
Active, unencumbered Physical Therapist license in North Carolina (NC)
Minimum 1 year of experience as a Physical Therapist; home health experience strongly preferred
Experience with Homecare Homebase (HCHB) and OASIS documentation is a plus
Ability to work independently, manage a home health caseload, and coordinate travel between patient homes
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for home health field visits

Responsibilities

Provide skilled physical therapy evaluation and treatment to patients in their homes (home health PT)
Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized, measurable care plans
Document patient progress and outcomes accurately using electronic health records and OASIS when applicable
Collaborate with interdisciplinary home health team members (nurses, OT, SLP, social work) to ensure coordinated patient care
Educate patients and families on therapy goals, home exercise programs, fall prevention, and safety measures
Maintain productivity expectations, manage scheduling efficiently, and ensure timely visit documentation
