Registered Nurse Job Description Registered Nurses are responsible for the assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating individualized patient care delivery. The Registered Nurse providers clinical leadership to the patient care team for the assigned shift. 6:45pm - 7:15am with weekend and holiday rotation. Pay based on experience starting at $37.23 + $3.00 shift differential Responsibilities Administers medications and treatments according to protocol. , Administers medications and treatments according to protocol. , A plan of care is initiated at admission with focus on patient’s identified physiological, psychological, and environmental factors. , Assures that documentation reflects changes in patient condition and notification to appropriate individual has occurred. , Clarifies and reviews physician’s orders and takes appropriate action. , Coordinates discharge planning with all team members. , Coordinates information transfer during shift change using star communication., Delegates to other members and holds them accountable for delivery of quality patient care. , Demonstrates cost conscious behaviors., Demonstrates the ability to effectively manage the care of patients. , Demonstrates the ability to handle emergency situations in a prompt, precise and professional manner. , Documents accurate and ongoing assessments of patient status every 2 hours or as needed., Documents patient teaching/education about plan of care., Enhances patient care and efficiency of unit by optimizing workflow of all team members., Identifies patient problems on integrated flowsheets and documents against the plan of care. , Initiate appropriate pathways of inpatient physician orders., Keeps both patient and significant others informed., Keeps logs updated. , Leads and participates in daily care to modify plan of care. , Monitors and evaluates the care provided by team members and initiates action to ensure optimal patient care. , Monitors that each caregiver is productive and serves as a source to provide and/or recommend education if needed., Notifies team members that an assessment is required as per physician order. , Performs complete assessment and documents completely. , Performs patient assessments each shift of work and documents at time of assessment. , Proactively assesses patient needs and participates in hourly rounding. {+ 3 more} Requirements ADN (Required)ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support (within 90 Days of hire) - Sarah Bush Lincoln, BLS or CPR certification (within 90 days of hire) - Sarah Bush Lincoln, RN-Registered Nurse - Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation Compensation Estimated Compensation Range $37.23 - $57.71 Pay based on experience When you come to work for Sarah Bush Lincoln or Fayette County Hospital Long Term Care, you have our commitment to help make this the best work experience of your life.
