Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse in the Cath Lab is responsible for providing skilled nursing care in an acute care hospital setting, focusing on cardiac catheterization procedures. The nurse will work primarily within a team-based environment and must maintain required certifications and licensure.
Responsibilities:
Required Skills & Certifications:
- Active Registered Nurse license valid in the state of California.
- Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
- Minimum of 2 years nursing experience preferred, ideally in acute care or cardiac settings.
- Proficiency in patient assessment, medication administration, and treatment planning.
- Ability to work effectively within a team and communicate clearly.
- Experience working in a cardiac catheterization lab or similar acute care environment.
- Familiarity with Mediteach electronic charting system.
- Experience working in a team-based nursing environment.
- On-call requirement includes 7 overnight shifts per 14-day pay period.
- Work environment is a 392-bed acute care hospital.
- Scrub color is flexible and any color is permitted.
- Free parking is available for staff.
- Work schedule is Monday through Friday.
- Shifts are typically day shifts with additional on-call overnight shifts as scheduled.
- Team structure generally consists of 3 to 4 nurses per team, aiming for 4-person teams.
