Radiology Technologist - Per Diem

Qualifications Minimum Education/Experience: Successful completion of an approved Radiologic Technology program. Associate's degree in radiologic technology preferred. Minimum Skills/Abilities: Must be able to collaborate and effectively communicate with Radiology clients. Interpersonal skills sufficient to satisfactorily explain examination process to patients. Level of knowledge associated with completion of Radiologic Technology program. Certification/Licensure: Valid Massachusetts State license or temporary license and ARRT certification or eligible with one year to obtain. BLS required. Job Responsibilities Follow departmental guidelines, selects type and number of films to provide diagnostic information required. May choose to deviate from established routine under special circumstances depending on clinical condition of patient. Prepare and position patients relative to diagnostic equipment. Perform radiographic examinations with a high degree of accuracy, minimizing repeat films. Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of working area. Maintain flow of patients through area and quality of films under the direct supervision of the Technical Manager. Demonstrate knowledgeable operation of radiographic equipment with proper care given to radiation safety including collimation, shielding, and proper identification of films. Maintain proper professional demeanor toward patients and medical staff. Perform all necessary functions to ensure effective patient care including clerical duties and patient transport. Assist Technical Manager in daily processor/film sensitometry. Complete all patient tracking functions to ensure proper and accurate billing, report transcription, and film retrieval. Compensation Range $40.21 - $59.74 per hour. Compensation is based on education, experience, licensure, and certifications.
